20 Yard - This size is commonly used for residential projects. This size is ideal for a kitchen or bathroom remodeling project. It will hold about 300 square feet of decking or 2,500 sq ft of single layer roof singles. It is also a good size for a basement cleanup or a 2 car garage cleanup.

30 Yard - This dumpster size is usually used for construction/demolition projects. It is perfect for roof remodel, demolition debris or large basement/attic cleanouts. It would also be the perfect size for a garage demolition.

40 Yard - This size is for large commercial construction/demolition projects like replacing windows and siding on a large house.

  • Bricks and masonry material (20 yard container only-approx 1/3 full)
  • Clothing
  • Common garbage
  • Construction related packaging from builders
  • Electrical wiring and components containing no hazardous material
  • Furniture, mattress and box spring
  • Metal scraps
  • Mobile homes and trailers with tires and fuel tanks removed
  • Motor vehicle glass Non-asbestos insulation
  • Paint cans - must be dried out/solidified and lids must be off
  • Painted or coated wood- as long as it is dry
  • Plaster and drywall
  • Plumbing fixtures
  • Plywood
  • Roofing materials (20 yard container only)
  • Sheets, towels, pillows or other bedding items
  • Toys
  • Trash bags
  • Treated wood
  • Untreated wood and sawdust
  • Wall and flooring coverings

Unacceptable Materials for Roll Off Dumpsters

  • Liquids, chemicals, pesticides, hazardous & infectious waste materials of any kind
  • Computers, monitors, printers  or other computer components
  • Electrical equipment containing hazardous material
  • Friable asbestos
  • Propane bottles/tanks/barrels/drums of any kind
  • Spray paint cans or containers
  • Tires (whole, cut, or baled)
  • TV's, Computers and peripherals, printers or similar electronic waste
  • Items containing Freon (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners)
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Paint - wet paint cans
  • Batteries
  • Items containing lead/mercury
  • Florescent bulbs


Roll Off Guidelines

  • Roll Offs should never be placed under any power lines; doing so puts Waste Connections vehicles and waste collection specialists in unnecessary danger
  • No toxic or hazardous liquids and/or flammable items are allowed in your roll-off container
  • Please load containers evenly and do not overload; overfilled roll-offs will not be serviced
  • Place containers only on a driveway or a concrete slab
  • Children should be kept away from roll-offs at all times
