Donate to ReStore and Help Others

Before throwing any items in the trash, check the lists below to see if you can donate them to one of the area Habitat for Humanity ReStore locations.

Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity has been devoted to building simple, decent, and affordable housing, all over the world. Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 4 million people construct, rehabilitate or preserve more than 800,000 homes over the past 40 years, making it the largest not-for-profit builder in the world.

Habitat for Humanity has now made it easy for you to also contribute in helping families in your community, as well as all over the globe, while reducing the amount of reusable items that end up in landfills.

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are non-profit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials, and more at a fraction of the retail price. Because many of the items in ReStores are donated by local merchants who are changing out inventory, or by local contractors with leftover materials, much of the merchandise is new. As such, sometimes they only carry small quantities of matching materials, but it may be just the right amount for your current home-improvement project.

ReStores are independently owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity organizations. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in local communities and around the world.

Below are two Habitat for Humanity ReStore locations, one in Chambersburg, PA and the other in Hagerstown, MD.
